a cold day at the lake

Woke up early, dressed, and stepped outside. It was cold and grey. I took a few steps down the street to the best bakery and tea shop in town. I had a deliciously moist cherry cake and green tea for breakfast and finished my book.

Then I went for a little walk around town and went back to my bed. I played on my computer for a couple of hours while munching on popcorn for lunch.

Wrapped in a second scarf, I went for another walk, down to the lake. I sat at one of the many empty benches and stared at the ducks and swans and watched a dad fishing with his son.




From there, it was to the warm and cozy Pizzeria Rustico for a large Dharma pizza. I will eat whatever remains for a bedtime snack.

This evening... well, I will start another book, or amuse myself at the computer.

Thank goodness every day is not like this.
