Important?

Be not voracious, do not jostle your way to the fore, maintain moderation and humility, otherwise the chastising hand of Fate which beheads braggarts and all who presume to lord it over others, will descend upon you.


Never before have I heard so often people talking about the 'important meeting' that they are off to. Is it not enough to say that one is going to a 'meeting'?

Does it make one more remarkable or interesting if they are seen to be going to an 'important meeting'?

I have an important meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds ridiculous.

I am tired of them.
